The fourth week of 2016 gave the European Nintendo eShop users quite a large number of titles to play. Here comes the weekly rundown of the European eShop releases to help keeping track of all the releases!
Eight titles were released on January 28th, so let us start with them! The most noticeable release is the long awaited Final Fantasy Explorers for 3DS published by Square Enix. In this action RPG up to four players can cooperate with each other to explore the world offered to them. With over 20 jobs to choose between there is sure to be one that fits anyone!
The next title is also a 3DS game. The platformer Runny Egg, published by TOMCREATE. Here the goal is to help your egg to hatch by collecting chickens and finding the egg stand at the end of the levels.
Next up on the 3DS line is Word Puzzles by POWGI, published by Lightwood Games. This word puzzle title comes with a wide variety of puzzles such as Word Maze’s, and Mixups amongst other things for fans of word puzzles to enjoy. This title was also released on the Wii U the same day to enjoy for those who prefer gaming on stationary consoles!
The final 3DS release on the Nintendo eShop January 28th is the arcade style sports game Family Fishing, published by Aksys Games. In this fishing title players does not only try to catch the biggest fish for themselves, but also preventing their opponents from doing the same by disrupting their opponents with different nasty tricks such as smoke bombs.
Next up are the Wii U titles released on the eShop this week. The big news here is also a Final Fantasy title, yet not a new one, but a virtual console release of the beloved Final Fantasy Tactics Advance by Square Enix. In this classic tactical RPG players follow the young boy Marche who just moved to the country town St. Ivalice with his family who had a difficult past. One day he finds a magical book, and the life of the town changes forever!
Another long-awaited release for the Wii U which came out on the very same day is the awaited co-op adventure Shadow Puppeteer by Snow Cannon Games. This title can either be played solo, or in co-op with a friend in which one player controls the physical boy, and the other his shadow in a dynamic co-op experience. Fans of co-op titles should not miss this release.
Finally on January 28th is the stealth game Level 22 was released on Wii U by Moving Player. In this stealth game the goal is to get to work… Unnoticed due to the fact that you are late. The problem is that you work on the 22nd floor and that there are several obstacles between you and your *cough* beloved *cough* office… Do whatever it takes to not get caught off duty!
On January 29th there was another release for both Wii U and 3DS, and quite a huge one at that! The latest Lego title, Lego Avengers, had its release then. In this action title published by WB: Games the brave Lego heroes use their superpowers to take them through, amongst other things, the storyline of the blockbuster movie: Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. An exciting release for Lego fans and superhero fans alike!
