Counterplay Games already announced the official tournament in Duelyst which will commence in August but they don’t want to leave the new players behind. Therefore they launched the Newlyst to Duelyst series, a competition for new players. The first round took place in May and due to a big success it returns this weekend – and that’s why it’s called Twolyst.
Duelyst is still a pretty new online game which launched in late April. It is a competitive strategy game focused on tactical combat and squad building. It is a card game but unlike Hearthstone, the only matter isn’t which cards you play but also where you place them on the gaming board. The pace of each game is quite fast, you can finish under 10 minutes.
The Newlyst tournament is focused on players who are new to the game. If you have created your account after May 1 and haven’t reached an S-rank or have registered before but have less than 250 total wins, you can still sign up here. Participants are required to register with a specific faction but are allowed to swap their Generals and decks in between rounds and games. You will have around 2 minutes to make changes to your deck between games. Depending on the number of participants, the tournament is expected to have five to eight rounds. For any fans who are not participating or don’t have time to watch but still want to know how the tournament went, stay tuned with us – we will bring news on Newlyst to Duelyst Twolyst this Sunday!
