The long-awaited Resident Evil 7 DLC called Not a Hero is set to launch this December, and today Capcom has released a gameplay trailer for it. It’s pretty lengthy considering we’re still a few months away from its release, with the video being nearly 3 minutes long and giving a very good idea of what to expect.
As we’ve known for a while, Not a Hero stars Resident Evil veteran Chris Redfield. This DLC will essentially be giving his side of the story regarding certain events that happen in the main game, while also (hopefully) answering some big questions that come to light at the end of the main game. The gameplay will also be notably different when compared to the main game, as the stronger and more experienced Chris Redfield has more at his disposal to deal with enemies than protagonist Ethan did. You can check out the video at the bottom of this post.
The Not a Hero DLC will be releasing alongside the upcoming Gold Edition of Resident Evil 7, which includes the main game along with all of the DLC released post-launch. It will also include a brand new DLC called End of Zoe, which will further shed light on certain events that happened in the main game. The End of Zoe DLC comes with a price tag, but the Not a Hero DLC will be available to download by everyone for free. All of the aforementioned content will be launching on December 12 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
In other Resident Evil news, both of the Resident Evil Revelations games are slated to release on the Switch later this year. They will be available to purchase individually for $19.99, or as a bundle for $39.99 called Resident Evil Revelations Collection. The physical version of the collection contains the first game on disc, but the second game must be downloaded via a download code included in the case. Both games will launch for the Switch on November 28th.
