It’s no secret at this point that Xbox One had a pretty bad 2017 when all is said and done, with very few exclusives to be found. They won’t be turning things around this month, as the 2 big games that will be releasing for the console are multiplatform releases. Nevertheless, here are 2 Xbox One games we’re looking forward to playing in January 2018.
Dragon Ball FighterZ (1/26)
I haven’t be crazy about the Dragon Ball games that have released in recent memory, with the Xenoverse games being decent ideas that didn’t really live up to their potential. However, with Dragon Ball FighterZ it looks like things will be taken up a notch. Arc System Works are in charge of this one, and judging from the gameplay footage that has been released so far it looks like they came up with a winner. The visual style has been getting all the buzz, but the gameplay doesn’t appear to be a slouch, either.
Monster Hunter: World (1/26)
There might not be a heck of a lot of games coming to Xbox One this month, but you’ll likely be set for hundreds of hours with Monster Hunter: World. This is the first game in the series to be released on a home console in many years, and the first one to ever come to an Xbox platform. The extra power that consoles provide will result in massive worlds, deeper gameplay and an all-around more engrossing experience, and we can’t wait to play it. This one’s our pick for the most anticipated Xbox One game of the month.
That about does it for the Xbox One games we’re excited to check out this month. There isn’t a whole lot to choose from for Xbox One gamers, but these two games are both very promising and should keep you busy. Be sure to also check out 5 PS4 games to look forward to in January 2018 and 4 Switch games to look forward to in January 2018.
