The first week of 2016 on the European Nintendo eShop was quite an active one with plenty of new releases for owners of the 3DS and Wii U to delve into. Four different titles were all released on January 7th.
Starting of with the only 3DS title on the list is RV-7 My Drone by EnjoyUp Games. An shooter/simulator game in which the player takes control over a military class drone to complete different kinds of missions for the military that varies in between supplying medicine to taking down enemy drones.
Next, fans of rougelike titles on the Wii U can enjoy themselves with the recently released Temple of Yog by CHUDCHUD Ind. This is a rougelike RPG in which living sacrifices to the temple has to travel through the depths of an ever-changing ancient temple to help the village develop through an ancient pact: a life for development! Creepy…
Fans of nostalgia can also enjoy themselves some Drill Dozer by Game Freak (the same studio as the one behind Pokémon!) on the Wii U e-shop as the classical Game Boy Advance action platformer made an appearance on Wii U’s Nintendo eShop with a Virtual Console release. In this colorful platformer players take control of Jill and her massive and highly powerful drill on a quest to retrieve her red diamond from a gang of thugs.
Last, but certainly not least, everyone’s favorite plumber makes an appearance in the eShop on Wii U this week in the Virtual Console release of the classical Wii title New Super Mario Bros. Wii. After the recent release of the original New Super Mario Bros. fans might be eager for the sequel to the Wii which offered up to four player simultaneous co-op through the stages. Fan of co-op titles and Mario who missed this when it originally launched might be in for a real treat!
