Later today an era will truly come to an end with the final Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS focused Nintendo Direct. Ever since the game was announced, Nintendo and Masahiro Sakurai have kept players up to date with daily screenshots and details so today’s Direct is definitely going to be special. Some have speculated in the past few days that a new patch is going to be released for both versions of the game following the presentation and it seems like they are right, considering what has been leaked online earlier today.
According to one dedicated gamer who has taken an in-depth look at the the patch, which seems like has been made available by mistake for some, the new Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS patch is going to include Cloud and the Midgar stage that have been revealing during last month’s Nintendo Direct as well as additional content for Mii Fighters and apparently another extra stage. No other DLC character is included in the new patch but we cannot know for sure until the patch becomes available.
Super Smash Bros for Wii and 3DS have received plenty of additional content this year, starting with first DLC character Mewtwo. Other DLC characters released for the game include veterans Roy from Fire Emblem and Lucas from Mother 3 as well as Ryu from the Street Fighter series, currently the only brand new DLC character introduced in the game. Alongside the extra characters, additional Mii Fighter costumes and special stages have been made available for the game and more will surely be coming in the near future.
Super Smash Bros for wii U and 3DS are now available in all regions on each respective console. More news on upcoming DLC content will be coming later today through the final Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS direct.
