Even though not much is getting released on Wii U next year, there are a few titles that have the potential to become big hits. One of them is Pokken Tournament, the fighting game featuring Pokemon developed in collaboration with Bandai Namco. The game made its debut a few months ago in Japanese arcades and it will finally launch on Wii U in a few months. A few minutes ago it’s been confirmed that something else related to the game will be released next year, at least in Japan.
A few minutes ago the Pokemon Official Japanese website has revealed a brand new controller called the Pop Fist. The controller, which seems to be quite comfortable judging from the image available on the website, will be released on March 18th in Japan for the price of 3,480 yen.
As mentioned above, Pokken Tournament has been released in Japanese arcades a few months ago. Rumors of a Western release of the arcade version have started circulating right after the Japanese release, with Nintendo later confirming that Pokken Tournament will indeed be released in North America and Europe as a Wii U game. The home console version will include some content not available in the arcade release right now, such as Dark Mewtwo, who players will be able to unlock straight away with the Dark Mewtwo amiibo card, and more.
Pokken Tournament will be released in Japan on March 18th 2016 exclusively on Wii U. The release date for the North American and European versions has yet to be confirmed but more on the matter will surely come in soon. We will let you know more about the matter as well as on any other announcement regarding the game as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news on this upcoming Wii U exclusive release.
