Nioh finally made its way to PC by way of the recently-released Complete Edition of the game, and now PC gamers are able to check out the critically-acclaimed title. Developer Team Ninja has been doing a good job of ensuring that the game runs as smoothly as possible on PC, and now the latest patch has been released.
The latest patch updates the game to version 1.21.02, and brings a few solid fixes that will enhance the overall experience. These include the likes of shadow performance, save data errors and matchmaking tweaks. The following are the complete patch notes for Nioh: Complete Edition update 1.21.02:
- Fixed an issue in which changing the “Matching Area” in online settings to “Unlimited” would still result in being limited to your own area.
- Fixed an issue in which an error would occur while saving data if there was no C drive.
- Improved performance when the “Shadows” option is set to “High Quality” in the graphics settings.
For those unfamiliar with Nioh, it is an action RPG that is very similar to the Souls series. Players are put in control of a character named William as he travels through the monster-infested Japan set in the 1600s. The game features extremely difficult combat where it is entirely possible to be killed by one common enemy, requiring the player to play at a very high level and utilize the game’s maneuvers and different battle stances. Nioh also received a few expansions post launch that brought more levels and enemies for the player to take on, which were also well-received.
Nioh is available for PlayStation 4 and PC.
