Fortnite: Battle Royale is constantly getting new updates from developer Epic Games, ensuring that the quickly-increasing playerbase remains satisfied. The latest patch added a progression system to the game and a microtransaction store, which features cosmetic items. These items can be purchased with currency called V-Bucks, and this guide will show you how to get them.
Seeing as this is linked to microtransactions, the quickest way that you can get V-Bucks is by purchasing them with real money. There are currently four tiers that you can purchase, which are the following:
1,000 V-Bucks – $9.99
2,500 V-Bucks – $24.99
6,000 V-Bucks – $59.99
10,000 V-Bucks – $99.99
There is another way that you can get V-Bucks without paying any real money at all, and that is by playing the PvE Save the World game mode. However, the mode is currently in early access form and must be purchased in order to take part in it currently. The mode will be going free-to-play in 2018, but a specific release date has not yet been provided by the developer.
As for what you can look to purchase at this time, there’s currently Infiltrator and Desperado-themed outfits, two gliders and a harvesting tool skin. There’s also a Season Shop that brings more of the types of items mentioned previously, but daily item skins regularly rotate with more items. You might not see anything that you like when you check today, but you can always check tomorrow (and the next day, and the next day…) to see if anything catches your eye.
This should tell you everything you need to know about V-Bucks in Fortnite: Battle Royale, so get going if you’ve got some spare cash or are willing to purchase the Save the World mode.
