Xiaomi is definitely working on becoming one of the most popular smartphone manufacturers in the world. While its flagship devices are great, the majority of people still just love the company’s mid-range handsets that are both quite powerful for their range but still affordable. The Xiaomi Berlin that recently surfaced seems to be such a device. According to its benchmark results, the Xiaomi Berlin is going to be a mid-range handset. Based on previous models, this means that it will also be an affordable one. It’s not quite clear what the handset’s official moniker will be, as it probably won’t be the Xiaomi Berlin, as we know it right now.
Recent reports state that the upcoming Xiaomi device will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset. The chipset manufacturer didn’t officially announce this particular SoC yet, so it’s safe to assume that it will be another few weeks, probably even months before we get to see the Xiaomi Berlin live. Unfortunately, apart from the SoC model, the benchmark listing doesn’t reveal too much about the new model. Its single-core results are quite impressive, however, the multi-core score doesn’t follow this tendency. Then again, the benchmark listing seems to have some incorrect information, as the Snapdragon 632 should be an octa-core chipset, not a hexa-core one, as the listing suggests.
Rumors regarding the Xiaomi Berlin will certainly surface in the upcoming weeks. They will probably reveal everything there is to know about the device before the Chinese company gets to officially unveil it. Given the fact that the benchmark listing seems to contain some incorrect information, we should all keep in mind to take every new bit of information with a grain of salt, at least until someone with a good track record confirms them. Even then, things can change and the end result could be different.
One thing seems to be sure: the Xiaomi Berlin will be a mid-range handset. It will most likely have powerful specs for its category and hopefully, it will have a nice design too. We will find out more about the device in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned and get fresh information as soon as we do.
