The monitor’s bold and strong appearance, customizable lights and ultra-thin bezel is what the new Alienware monitor comes with as the company showed us earlier today via a tweet.

The new 24.5′” 1920 x 1080 resolution screen promises a panoramic multi-monitor view because of the 3 ultra-thin bezel design. On the back, the monitor has the classic Alienware venting details and the alien head logo just like the laptops do and the AlienFX fully customizable lights is a detail that makes the monitor look like it’s out of this world. The AlienFX comes with an in-game lighting effects option that supports over 130 games and it allows you to download and even create themes just the way you like them.
On the inside, the monitor promises sharp and crystal clear graphics due to the 240Hz native refresh rate that will take your gaming experience to the next level. This new feature combined with the 1ms response time allows you to work with more frames making mouse tracking, aiming and even flick shots so much easier. The AW2518H comes with full support of the Nvidia Gsync giving you the smoothest and most breathtaking gaming experience a monitor can give you. There is also another version of the monitor called AW2518HF which supports AMD’s FREESYNC minimizing graphics distortions by allowing the monitor to display full frames only if it’s capable of doing so.
The specific gaming on-screen-display (OSD) design of the new Alienware monitor keeps your user experience in the gaming theme, and because of the three preset mode found on the monitor’s OSD, you can very comfortably select the one you like the most without having to adjust screen settings whenever you play a game.
You can order the monitor for the price of $699.99. You can also check the official page of the monitor on the Alienware Arena website if you want to see the full specs and order it. Personally, I wouldn’t pay that much for a monitor, but it’s Alienware we are talking about so you get what you pay for.
