Jeff Minter has created some truly iconic works. Most notably recognized for Tempest 2000, the British developer has a vast collection dating back to the 1980s, including Gridrunner and Revenge of the Mutant Camels. The portfolio is being recorded for a new interactive documentary by Digital Eclipse, set to launch on March 13th.
This compilation will feature various playable games, along with archive footage and previously unreleased artwork and documents, reminiscent of Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration. Context will be added to all of Minter’s games through documentary-style interviews and other features. Furthermore, an upgraded edition of Gridrunner will be included, utilizing the original Commodore 64 code.
Feel free to watch the trailer above for a sneak peek at the documentary content and the museum-like features available in the game. Featuring more than 42 playable Minter classics, this collection is a must-have for all Llamasoft enthusiasts.
