A Star Wars Battlefront 2 trailer which was allegedly suppose to go live April 15th has leaked early! The trailer is roughly thirty seconds and boasts that it will feature all eras of Star Wars. It shows Darth Maul, Rey and a Kylo Ren. The narrative is coming from what could be a potential female protagonist which would suggest that it may have a single player aspect to it, and may hopefully feature a single player campaign. Star Wars: Battlefront had a multiplayer which although came out to good reviews seemed to be lacking depth when compared to other multiplayer shooters.
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen in a response to the criticism of Star Wars Battlefront said “If there was criticism, they just wanted more. So we’re taking that criticism to heart as we build the next game and trying to address any of the issues that they had.” Considering that easily the biggest criticism for the game was a lack of Single Player Content I think it is safe to say we will be getting it.
The trailer does not specify a release date but with the increasing rumors of its launch later this year and the fact that it is a PlayStation commercial it is not crazy to think that we may get more information at Sony’s E3 press conference. Also considering that later this year Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi is scheduled to hit theaters it also further adds to believability that EA would want to launch this game later this year to be able to coincide with the movie release very similarly to how they did with Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Battlefront.
Earlier today we also heard rumors detailing some potential plot points of Star Wars Episode 8. The news comes to us by Express.co.uk. Beware! Potential spoilers for Star Wars Episode 8.
