Razer pulled out all the stops at this year’s International Consumers Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas by announcing their very own gaming laptop, the Blade Stealth. This unique ultrabook is one of the sleekest looking laptop’s I’ve seen, and has some really amazing bells and whistles.
Some of the 12.5-inch ultrabook features include a Core i7 processor, a high-definition 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution touchscreen display, solid-state storage that’s a whopping 128GB, and 8GB of memory. Also included are a Thunderbolt USB Type-C port meant for connecting to your monitors and other accessories and two standard USB 3.0 slots. My favorite feature, though, has to be the keyboard. Similar to Razer’s Chroma series, all of the keys are individually RGB backlit, which means you’ll get to spend some quality time customizing the keyboard to your liking.
All of this is stored within a neatly polished CNC-milled aluminum case that weighs a measly 2.75 pounds and is only 0.52 inches thin, perfect for those of you who are on the go and want something easy to tote around for both work and play.
The downside is that the Blade Stealth runs on Intel’s HD 520, which means games that require a lot of graphical “oomf” won’t run as smooth. If you’re more of a casual gamer, however, then this is right up your alley.
If you have some leftover Christmas money to spare and really want to treat yourself, or if you’ve been thinking about getting a new laptop to replace your old out-of-date one, the Blade Stealth is currently available to order and is scheduled to be shipped out on January 29th. You can get the base model for $999, or the higher-quality 512GB solid-state storage model for $1,599. Razer has listed tech-specs on their product as well if you’d like to learn more about other features not mentioned in this article.
