Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto V’s holiday themed event today. Wether you’ve played holiday events in the past or not, Rockstar stated that holiday events will be available on all platforms. Which could imply to mean content for online players of the xbox360 and ps3 as well. It launches today and lasts for the next few weeks. Nothing quite says Christmas like going on a bank-robbing, car-jacking, murderous holiday spree.
The new update adds new Santa outfits, pajamas, masks, and car horns while bringing back all previous holiday event outfits. All of the Holiday clothing will be available on all platforms. Featuring tons of Holiday themed masks which are hilarious and festive. My personal favorite in the collection of masks has to be the cooked turkey mask. It reminds me of that famous scene in that Holiday Special when Mr.Bean got a full turkey stuck on his head.
Los Santos will be covered in snow and Christmas trees, allowing for snowball fights. Grand Theft Auto Online players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC will be able to find the Christmas trees at Legion Square and in any apartments, stilt houses, and yachts (a recent addition) they own. Rockstar promises some special gifts to those who take a picture fit for a Christmas Card. You could win one million dollars of in-game money. Just take your most festive photo, share on Social Club via the in-game Snapmatic app, and tag it #FestiveSurprise2015. Be sure to do this all before January 5th or submissions won’t count. Rockstar’s five favorites will receive the $1 million (reminder again, that’s in-game money) as well as a featured post on the developer’s news service, Newswire. Best of luck to anyone who enters.
The Festive Surprise 2015 event, as this is known, is now available and will run through January 5.
