Microsoft made waves when they announced the Game Pass program, which allowed users to get access to over 100 Xbox games and future Xbox One exclusives at launch for $9.99 per month. This was a fantastic deal already, but it looks like the company is on the verge of making it even sweeter.
Multiple reports are suggesting that the company is working on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which essentially blends Game Pass with Xbox Live Gold (their online gaming service), for just $14.99 per month. Considering that’s $5 less per month than what you’d pay if you purchased them individually, that is a fantastic deal.
It looks like the timing of this new plan couldn’t be better, as Microsoft is expected to unveil the disc-less Xbox One S console later this month. Considering that users would only have access to digital games with this console, having access to a library of games with Game Pass along with the free games each month with Xbox Live Gold would be more then enough to keep busy.
This, of course, needs to be taken with a grain of salt at this point, considering that Microsoft has not yet made an official announcement. However, considering the track record of the sources here it looks likely that this will end up happening. We’ll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
