Microsoft has officially revealed the next batch of free games that Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to download for September. As is always the case, there are two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games that you’ll be able to download. The Xbox 360 games are also playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
The following is the complete list of games that will be free to download next month:
- Forza Motorsport 5 (Xbox One) (Available September 1 – 31) (Normally $39.99)
- Oxenfree (Xbox One) (Available September 16 – October 15) (Normally $19.99)
- Hydro Thunder Hurricane (Xbox 360 and Xbox One via backward compatibility) (September 1 – 15) (Normally $14.99)
- Battlefield 3 (Xbox 360 and Xbox One via backward compatibility) (September 16 – 30) (Normally $19.99)
According to Microsoft, September’s lineup offers over $94 in value and up to 3,600 gamerscore.
This is actually a very solid lineup of games that Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to download, for both Xbox One and Xbox 360. Forza Motorsport 5 and Battlefield 3 are easily the highlights for each console, offering some great racing and first-person shooter gameplay to those that have never checked either game out before.
Microsoft also released a trailer showing all of these games off, which you can check out at the bottom of this post.
There’s still time to grab most of the free games that were offered for August, as Slime Rancher, Trials Fusion and Red Faction are all still available. The only game that is no longer available to grab is Bayonetta, which is too bad considering it’s the pick of the bunch.
