Final Fantasy fans have have been asking for a PC port of Final Fantasy 15 for a while now, and we have the confirmation that it’s happening. Square Enix and Nvidia have revealed that Final Fantasy 15 Windows Edition will be launching early next year, and will include all of the DLC that has been released for the game so far.
Along with coming with all of the DLC, the game will also boast plenty of improvements over the original game. It will inlcude “4K high rest textures, Dolby Atmos, realistic turf, advanced hair simulation, combustible fluid, fire and smoke simulation, advanced shadow algorithms, high-quality ambient occlusion, Ansel screenshots,” and more. A reveal trailer was also released, which you can check out below.
It was only a matter of time before the game arrived on PC, as the most recent games in the series also have PC ports. Demand for a PC version has been high since the console versions launched, so hopefully the PC version will launch without any major technical issues. We’re still waiting on a specific release date for it, so we’ll be sure to keep you updated on that as soon as more information becomes available.
Final Fantasy 15 originally launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2015. The game was seen by many as a great return to form for the series after numerous underwhelming installments, and the game has been regularly supported by the developers with free updates and DLC. The game is set to be getting another story DLC with Episode Ignis later this year, as well as multiplayer DLC called Comrades.
