Crash Bandicoot made his triumphant return last month, with the release of the N. Sane Trilogy being critically acclaimed and hopefully starting a new era for the iconic character. While the game is currently a PS4-exclusive, it looks like it could be hopping to another major platform at some point.
The platform in question is the Xbox One, and whether or not the game would release on that platform has been a question that fans have been asking a lot. Well, we just got a major hint from the game’s developer Vicarious Visions, as artist Kara Visa uploaded a video that certainly seems to spill the beans on an Xbox One release. The video shows the game’s load and save screens, but the inputs displayed are for Xbox One. The video has since been deleted, buy you can check out a screen grab through this link.
While this isn’t an official confirmation, the fact that this was a video uploaded by someone directly from the developer means that it’s very likely that it’s legitimate. Despite the fact that Crash Bandicoot used to a be a PlayStation-exclusive franchise, Activision now has the rights to it and they would obviously like to bring it to as many platforms as possible. There were even some publications that were claiming that the game would be coming to PlayStation 4 “first,” suggesting that releases on other platforms would follow at unspecified points in the future.
It seems likely that the game would be coming to other platforms at some point, as the game has been a very big financial success. The game has been out for 5 weeks now, and it spent 4 of those weeks at the UK No.1. It looks like the demand is there for Crash Bandicoot, and hopefully this means we will be getting a brand new installment in the series at some point.
