Ark: Survival Evolved has been in the early access phase for a very long time now, but it will finally be releasing in full next month. However, it’s going to be coming later in the month than expected, as the developers have announced that they have had to delay it a little.
Studio Wildcard said the game is completely finished and has gone gold, but the “process took a little longer than expected.” This has resulted in the game’s original full release of August 8th being pushed back to August 29th. As a result, the Ragnarok DLC has also been delayed, as it will launch alongside the game’s full release.
“On the date of release, the overground of the world will increase by approximately one quarter, which is near-enough a ‘TheIsland-sized’ expansion; the update will feature new biomes, a coastal Wyvern canyon, an epic boss encounter, new engrams, and something secret the Ragnarok team are cooking up! We will also be adding their custom creatures to our main game, which will allow players to transfer them via the CrossARK system, so you’ll be able to bring over your Ice Wyverns to The Island, The Center, and Scorched Earth!”
There will also be numerous patches that will be coming to the game post-launch to address community concerns, with much more planned going forward. Things like multiplayer boss difficulty adjustments, bug fixes and more are on the horizon, so there’s a lot for Ark fans to look forward. Ark: Survival Evolved will now launch on August 29th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
