If you’ve been playing Arms on Switch since it launched last month and are craving a new character to play as, then you’re in luck. Nintendo will be releasing a new character later this month though the July Update, and that character is none other than the boss character named Max Brass.
Brass is definitely a tough opponent in the game, which should make it interesting to actually play as him. For those who are wondering how that will translate, a new video has been released showing off this character in action. You can check out the video for yourself below.
As you can see from the video, Max Brass definitely doesn’t play around, packing a big punch thanks to his size. His hits seem to absolutely crush whatever they come into contact with, just like they did when he was a boss. He won’t flinch when his arms are charged, and his arms stay permanently charged when his health drops below 20%. This sounds like he could end up being a real pain in the butt on paper, but hopefully Nintendo has balanced him enough so that each fight will be fair.
Arms launched exclusively for the Switch last month, and received solid reviews. However, the game didn’t get the high praise that some were hoping for, and the main culprit seems to be the lack of content. Nintendo plans to support the game with regular free content updates, so hopefully that will go towards fleshing the game out and making it more worthwhile for Switch owners.
The game most recently got the 1.1.0 update, which added some notable features and bug fixes to the game. These included the likes of an Arena Mode and LAN Play, which are welcomed additions. You can check out the complete patch notes for the 1.1.0 update right here.
