We got a sneak peak at the two headlining games of June 2017’s PlayStation Plus games recently, but now today the official lineup has been revealed by Sony via the PlayStation Blog. Their announcement confirms that the leaks from earlier this week were true, while also detailing the other four games that would be included in the lineup.
The following is the complete list of games that will be available for PlayStation Plus subscribers to download for free during June 2017:
- Killing Floor 2 (PS4)
- Life Is Strange (PS4)
- Abyss Odyssey (PS3)
- WRC 5: World Rally Championship (PS3)
- Neon Chrome (PS Vita – cross-buy with PS4)(PS Vita – cross-buy with PS4)
- Spy Chameleon (PS Vita)
Subscribers will be able to download all of the aforementioned games on June 6th. This gives you some time to grab the free games for May 2017, and if you don’t know what they are then they are detailed below:
- Alienation (PS4) – Abzu (US, PS4)
- Tales from the Borderlands (PS4)
- Blood Knights (PS3)
- Port Royale 3: Pirates and Merchants (PS3)
- Laser Disco Defenders (PS Vita)
- Type: Rider (PS Vita)
This is a very solid lineup of games that we have for this month, though Killing Floor 2 and Life is Strange are the obvious picks of the bunch. Killing Floor 2 in particular will be a great grab for those who are into horde-based shooters, with the game being one of the best on the market when it comes to that particular genre. It launched for PlayStation 4 and PC last year, and the developers have been regularly updating the game to keep it fresh for fans.
Those who may be looking for a more narrative-driven gaming experience will find a lot to like with Life is Strange, which is an episodic adventure that centers around a photography student named Max Caulfield. Max discovers at the beginning of the game that she has the ability to rewind time, which then causes her to use her newfound ability to try and save her town from an incoming storm.
