As far as exclusives for the PlayStation 4 goes, the one that we know the least about is Days Gone. We know that it’s going to be an open world survival game developed by SIE Bend Studio, but the lack of footage and updates on the game has kept Sony gamers in the dark. However, it looks like that will be changing very soon.
It was revealed by Sam Witwer, who voices lead character Deacon St. John, that the game will have a big presence at this year’s E3. He wasn’t able to share any more information on the game yet for obvious reasons, but the fact that it will have a presence at E3 should make Sony fans pretty happy. The game was originally announced at Sony’s press conference during last year’s E3, so it will be interesting to see what else they have to show.
It has been a while since SIE Bend Studio released a new game, and even longer than that since they worked on a new IP. The last home console game they developed was 2010’s Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow, with 1999’s Syphon Filter being the first game of the series that they have worked on for many years now.
Days Gone went into full production in January 2015, with the game being developed in Unreal Engine 4. The game has been described as an open world pandemic-like action-adventure game that is played in the third-perspective. Players are put in control of Deacon St. John, who is trying to survive a global pandemic that occurred 2 years prior to the event of the game.
We’re still waiting on an official release date for Days Gone, but we do know that it will be a PlayStation 4-exclusive. Seeing as E3 is right around the corner, be sure to check back soon for a lot more information on the game.
