Already tired of waiting to get your hands on a sweet slice of Boss Keys’ Lawbreakers? Then wait no longer! The zero-gravity game of cops and robbers is inviting its first group of fledgling players to a closed alpha test this weekend! Highly envied individuals will get to experience the chaotic physics defying shooter for the first time beginning June 18. If you forgot to sign up this time around don’t sweat it, Boss Keys have got you covered, as we will see more tests over the summer period all of which will be open to progressively larger groups of players in order to test scaling. If you still don’t manage to blag your way in you can expect to see the game hit Steam early access later this year.
The closed Alpha will feature a smattering of new, never before seen content on top of what was shown at E3. We’ll see the return of the original map “grandview” and it’s accompanying game mode “Overcharge“, a timed game mode which sees a team of players vying for control of a battery, victory being granted to whichever team has their grubby paws on it when the timer hits zero. Not only will invited individuals have access to the new map “promenade” which is based upon Third Street in sunny California, chosen players can dive into “Turf War“, a king of the hill style game mode that’s sure to get messy when gravity abusing powers are thrown into the mix!
Lawbreakers is set to be a dynamic and fast paced hero shooter, notable for its slick movement mechanics which appear to be essential to dominating the opposition. A team based shooter that allows its players to alter gravity has certainly piqued many people’s interests and it should be refreshing to be able to move around an alternate California in creative and liberating ways. If you feel like your missing out and can’t wait to slingshot into the action, why not head over to www.Lawbreakers.com and get yourself signed up for that next wave of invites? In the meantime I’ll have to settle for Overwatch.
