The Witcher 3 is without a doubt one of the best games released this year not only thanks to its excellent gameplay features, story and characters and more but also thanks to the excellent post launch support offered by CD Projekt RED. Following patch 1.11, which has been released shortly after the game’s first expansion called Hearts of Stone, the team has been working on the 1.12 patch. A few weeks ago it’s been revealed that the patch was going to be released this month on all formats but it now looks like things have changed.
A few hours ago CD Projekt RED Community Manager Marcin Momot has revealed that The Witcher 3 1.12 oatch should be coming after New Year’s. Patch notes have yet to be revealed but we have learned a while back that no new feature will be introduced by it, as the 1.12 patch will only focus on fixes on all formats.
CD Projekt RED is now working on the second expansion for The Witcher 3, Blood And Wine, and a few screenshots showcasing some new locations have been shared a few days ago. Unfortunately those who were hoping for a trailer to get released for the festivities will be disappointed in knowing that there’s no chance of this happening, as revealed by Mr Momot on Twitter earlier today.
Not much is currently known about The Witcher 3 Blood And Wine expansion. The new events will be set in the Nilfgaardian duchy of Toussaint and they will apparently feature characters that players have read about in the books, most likely duchess Anna Henrietta.
The Witcher 3 is now available in all regions on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We will keep you updated on the upcoming new patch as soon as more comes in on it so stay tuned for all the latest news on CD Projekt RED’s excellent role playing game.
