The final Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS focused Nintendo Direct is now over and Nintendo revealed the last two DLC characters that will be released next year for the popular game. The Japanese company has also shared all the details on Cloud, the Final Fantasy VII protagonist and first of the final DLC characters to be added to the game. Today’s presentation confirmed that Cloud was going to become available soon and now we can confirm that the character can be purchased right now on the Wii U and 3DS European eShops.
The Cloud DLC pack not only includes the character but also the Midgar stage. In the stage, players will be able to enlist the aid of the Final Fantasy Summons to alter the stage and gain a sound advantage.
UPDATE: Cloud is now available for purchase in North America as well. Patch 1.1.3 is also available for download.
As mentioned above, Cloud is only the first of the final Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS DLC characters. Launching next year are the Fire Emblem Fates main character Corrin as well as Bayonetta, the main character from the series developed by Platinum Games. Both characters will come with very unique fighting styles that will further expand the already extensive experience of the Nintendo exclusive game. Today Nintendo has also confirmed that a few new Mii Fighter outfits are going to be made available in the future, including a Chocobo outfit and a few others.
Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS are now available in all regions on each respective console. Cloud from Final Fantasy VII is now available for purchase in Europe.
