Nokia made a spectacular comeback last year with a series of new smartphones. HMD Global reinvented the Nokia brand and now offers a great variety of handsets from entry-level smartphones to higher-end devices. Thankfully, the company did not stop at just launching a few models and it continues the string of great devices this year too. The Nokia 6 (2018) and the Nokia 7 Plus are two examples of what the new Nokia brand stands for. The next model to launch is the Nokia X6 and it is actually the perfect mix between the two models, offering a fresh design alongside more than decent specs for a reasonable price tag.
The Nokia X6 will reportedly launch next Wednesday, on May 16, and it should cost somewhere around $250 which is a good price for all it has to offer. First of all, this year’s models have adopted a new, more modern design, and the Nokia X6 takes this even further with its slim bezels and the now-so-trendy camera notch. Basically, it lines up with the latest trends, making it a modern and cool-looking handset. This paired with the quality of materials used for the Nokia brand should definitely win the new model a great number of followers.
The Nokia X6 is slightly more compact than the huge Nokia 7 Plus, having a 5,8-inch display instead of the 7 Plus’s 6-inch screen and is larger than the 5,5-inch Nokia 6 (2018). It is a perfect size for those who would like to have a large screen without wanting to need a bag to carry their handsets in. Under the hood, the 6GB Nokia X6 will reportedly carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, which is more powerful than the Nokia 6 (2018)’s Snapdragon 630. There will also be a more affordable model with an Helio P60 SoC and 4GB of RAM. As for internal storage, the 6GB model will include 128GB of it, while the 4GB model will only offer 64GB of storage. Naturally, both models offer users the possibility to further expand the storage of their handsets by up to 256GB, using the second SIM slot.
Other features of the upcoming Nokia X6 include a 12 MP dual primary camera setup, a 5MP selfie snapper, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3,500 mAh battery. Surprisingly, it seems so far that the new model will offer Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, which is a step back from the Nokia 6 (2018)’s Bluetooth 5.0 standard. Hopefully, this will prove to be an incorrect information when the new model launches next week. There is only a little more than a week to go until HMD Global unveils the new Nokia X6. Then we will know everything there is to know about this model.
