The year might end soon but the list of new smartphones to launch doesn’t seem to stop. Huawei’s sub-division, Honor, announced recently that they are going to hold an event on December 13. At the event, the company will launch yet another smartphone. It’s highly likely that it will be the successor of the Honor Magic, probably dubbed the Honor Magic 2. Unfortunately, the poster doesn’t reveal exactly which model will launch this week, however, it would make perfect sense for it to be the Huawei Honor Magic 2, as the original model launched around a year ago and its successor should follow soon.
The Magic had some really cool features to offer, so the Honor Magic 2 should also be an interesting device. According to some, the poster suggests that the Honor Magic 2 will sport dual rear and dual front-facing camera setups. The 4 on the poster could hint towards this, however, it could mean something totally different as well, so we can’t really know for sure just yet. The Huawei Honor Magic already had a dual rear camera setup, so another camera added to the equation wouldn’t be too surprising. Also, there aren’t too many Honor models that would have a successor with a 4 in its name. Maybe there will be an Honor Holly 4, but that is not very likely.
One thing is sure, Honor will launch a new handset in only two days. It’s hard to imagine that we won’t find out at least which model exactly will the company unveil on December 13, ahead of the event. It is also highly likely that the specs and features of the upcoming device will leak as well in the upcoming days. We only have to look out for the information and choose whether to believe it or wait until December 13 to see for ourselves what Honor has prepared for us. If it is indeed the Honor Magic 2, it should feature an edge-to-edge curved screen, and it should bring along some cool AI features. Also, it could sport the powerful Kirin 970 chipset and run Android Oreo out of the box.
There are only two days to go until the company’s big event. On December 13, we will find out everything there is to know about the mysterious smartphone and what it has to offer.
