Samsung recently announced that the company is going to launch yet another color variant for the Samsugn Galaxy S8. At the time of the announcement, the tech giant did not reveal when the new color, the Burgundy Red will become available. According to a new report, the Burgundy Red Samsung Galaxy S8 will go on sale earlier than expected. To be more exact, it will become available for purchase on November 28, which is less than a week away. Naturally, South Korea will be the first country to welcome the new color. The South Korean company is not sure yet whether they will release the Burgundy Red Samsung Galaxy S8 in other regions too, or if it will remain a South Korea exclusive. Hopefully, it will reach other markets too.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus launched in March and became available for purchase in April. Right at the start, Samsung announced that the handset is going to become available in several color options. Customers could choose between Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue, or Maple Gold colors. Of course, there were only a few regions where every color option was available. In the majority of countries, only some of the color options are available for purchase.
It’s not quite clear why Samsung decided to launch the new color option exactly now. It is only a few days before the official release date of the iPhone X in South Korea. Maybe it is another way of competing with the Apple flagship. Of course, it is also possible that it is only a coincidence and the tech giant only wants to add another option for those who would like to purchase the handset as a Christmas gift. Also, it’s not the first time for Samsung to release new color options after the official launch of a new handset.
The Burgundy Red Samsung Galaxy S8’s price should be the same as other color variants’. This particular color might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it will definitely impress some smartphone users. The ladies will probably appreciate the new variant more than men, though.
