Tesla recently unveiled its upcoming awesome car, the Tesla Roadster. It will only make an appearance in 2020, and it will be quite expensive, but Elon Musk promises it will be the fastest production car ever made. Being an electric car, this is an extremely serious statement, and we are eager to see whether the Tesla Roadster will live up to the expectations. Until we actually see it in action, we can only admire its great looks and its spec sheet, which is quite impressive. The Roadster will reportedly be able to accelerate fast, reach really high speeds, and it will have quite an amazing mile range.
First of all, the Tesla Roadster has a killer look. This four-seater looks exactly what a fast car should look like. It has a futuristic design that will definitely turn heads around when it will arrive in 2020. It probably won’t be the most comfortable car ever made, especially for tall people, as it seems to be quite small, and there definitely won’t be a wide leg-space for those sitting in the back. However, leg-space is not the feature the Tesla Roadster wants to impress with. The electric car will reportedly have a 620 miles mile range on a single charge. In order to ensure this mile range, the car will feature a 200kWh battery pack.
It won’t only go a long way on a single charge, it will also be able to do it fast. The Tesla Roadster will go from 0 to 60 mph in only 1.9 seconds, and it will be able to reach speeds as high as 250 mph. This is quite impressive for an electric vehicle. Of course, all this awesomeness comes with a price. The Tesla Roadster will cost $200,000. In order to get in line to be among the first ones to get the car in 2020, customers need to pay a $50,000 reservation. There will even be a more expensive version of the car, which will cost $250,000. There will only be 1,000 units of the “Founders Edition” Tesla Roadster. Also, those who wish to own a Founders Edition Roadster will need to pay the full price of the car when reserving it.
