Vivo decided to do things its own way and launched the Vivo V7+ first, before the Vivo V7. The former launched back in September, while the latter only arrived today in Indonesia. Later this month, the manufacturer will launch the handset in India too. Just like the V7+, the Vivo V7 features a FullView display, naturally, with the now so popular 18:9 aspect ratio. The 5.7-inch screen offers a 1440 x 720 pixels resolution, which is OK, but it’s not spectacular. The feature that does stand out from the crowd is the smartphone’s 24MP selfie camera. The triple card slot is also a nice feature, as users will be able to use both SIM card slots, and add storage to their handset via the microSD card slot at the same time.
The Vivo V7 sports an octa-core chipset, which is likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. The smartphone includes 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. As for the primary camera, it has a 16MP sensor, which is quite nice too. The smartphone runs Funtouch 3.2. This is the company’s software, based on the Android 7.1 Nougat. The Vivo V7 has a 3,000mAh battery, which is not really large, but it should ensure a decent battery life, given the display’s rather low resolution. Unfortunately, the Vivo V7 doesn’t feature a USB Type-C port either, it comes with the same micro USB port its Plus version has. Also, the new model doesn’t support fast charging either.
Vivo’s new handset will reportedly become available in two colors. Customers will be able to choose between the Matte Black and the Gold variant. The smartphone will eventually reach all the markets Vivo is present in, starting its journey in Indonesia. The smartphone will launch in India on November 20, according to reports. The price of the new model is quite reasonable. Customers will need to pay around $300 to get their hands on the device. It isn’t the cheapest smartphone with these specs around, but it isn’t the most expensive one either. Overall, it is a good-looking handset, with a great selfie camera and some decent specs to offer for its price tag.
