While the tendency nowadays is to squeeze large displays into reasonable-size bodies, there are lots of smartphone users who would still prefer to have a powerful yet small handset. Apple was among the last smartphone manufacturers to deliver smartphones of reasonable sizes, but now it seems that Samsung will also get back in the game. Rumor has it that next year, alongside the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus we will also get to welcome a Galaxy S9 Mini, which will easily fit into our pockets. Unfortunately, there is no official confirmation of the information, but several reports claim that such a device is already in the works and it will arrive in the first quarter of next year.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 Mini will reportedly have a screen that will be smaller than 5-inch. The current S8 has a 5.8-inch display and the S8 Plus features a 6.2-inch display, and the 2018 models will probably have similar screen sizes. This way, the Galaxy S9 Mini will probably look like a toy smartphone. Especially if we take into consideration the Infinity Display that fits into quite a small body. The Samsung Galaxy S9 Mini would definitely be extremely easy to handle one-handed, and it will easily fit into pockets. This would really be a nice change after all the huge smartphones we’ve seen lately.
Hopefully, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Mini will be just as powerful as the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. Given the fact that they will launch at the same time, there is a high chance that they will offer similar specs and features. The S9 and S9 Plus will most likely come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and they will include at least 4GB of RAM. The Galaxy S9 Mini should normally have the same processor and the same amount of memory, probably with a smaller battery. Basically, it will be a small but extremely powerful smartphone. Normally, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Mini should be a little more affordable than its larger siblings.
At this point, it’s not certain that we will actually get to see the Samsung Galaxy S9 released. Hopefully, Samsung will think of all the smartphone users who prefer smaller handset and it will launch this handset. It most likely would have a lot of fans, as there are lots of users who don’t want to replace their TV sets with their smartphones. If Samsung decides to launch this product, we will probably hear more about it in the upcoming months.
