Redmi Note 4, Mi Mix 2, and Mi Max 2 users in India should be on the lookout for the Xiaomi MIUI 9 stable build, as it started rolling out already. The company released the stable build of its MIUI 9 software over the air at the beginning of this week, however, it will take several days until it will reach every unit of the above-mentioned models. Installing the new software is extremely easy, users only have to follow some simple steps in order to get their hands on it. The installation should work fine, but in case it doesn’t and you encounter problems with it, you can also download the full ROM from the MIUI website and then flash it onto your Xiaomi device.
The first step towards installing the stable build of the Xiaomi MIUI 9 software is to access the Tool folder on your home screen and then open the Updater app. Here, you should normally find the update waiting for you to install it. Just click Update and then let the device work its magic. In case the update is not listed, you can look for it by clicking the three vertical dots on the top right corner of the screen. This is the action overflow button and after clicking it you should fin the long-awaited update. After clicking on Download update, it should start downloading automatically.
When starting the process, you should make sure that you have enough storage space on your device for the update and that you have a good Wi-Fi connection so the download will successfully complete. Also, it is important to make sure that your handset is fully charged when starting to download the Xiaomi MIUI 9 stable build. You wouldn’t want it to turn off exactly when you’re about to successfully install the update.
The Xiaomi MIUI 9 stable build brings along a number of new features. These include deep-level system optimization, new icons, new animations, and a simpler Home Screen editing. The new software version also introduces Split Screen and improved Silent mode triggered by the volume button, among others. Basically, it ensures a better user experience overall. While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Mi Mix 2 and Mi Max 2 are the first ones to get the update, they won’t be the only ones. Xiaomi will soon start rolling it out to other models too.
