The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was probably one of the most eagerly- awaited handsets of this year. Everyone was curious to see whether Samsung will manage to deliver a true flagship and make us forget about its failure with the Note 7. The South Korean tech giant launched its handset last month and it seems that this time it got everything right. The price of the smartphone is a little high, but it’s not the only expensive handset on the market right now. At least it offers a lot for the money. Pre-orders for the smartphone started right after its launch. In the US, many people already got their Note 8. In India, the smartphones start shipping today. Those who pre-ordered the handset will get it in the next couple of days.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 may look a lot like the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, however, it is a different handset, with more nice features on the table. First of all, Note users will get the S Pen with the handset and they will be able to use it for taking notes directly on the screen. Also, the Note 8 is the first Samsung flagship to sport a dual primary camera setup. The cameras of the Samsung flagship have great sensors and users will be able to capture some truly amazing images with them. Naturally, they will also be able to record high-quality video with the help of this camera setup.
The chipset of the Galaxy Note 8 is the same as the one of the Galaxy S8. The US and China version of the handset comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset on board while the handsets that ship to other regions of the world sport an Exynos 8895 SoC. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 offers more memory than the S series handsets. It includes 6GB of RAM and will become available with 64GB, 128GB or 256GB internal storage. In addition to this, users can expand their storage by up to 256GB thanks to the microSD card slot of the device. Samsung played it safe this time around with the battery. The Galaxy Note 8 features a 3,300mAh energy pack. This is enough to take normal users through the day, however, no one should expect it to offer an amazing battery life. Thankfully, the handset supports fast charging and wireless charging to make things better.
In India, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8’s price starts at Rs 67,900. For this sum, customers will get the Note 8 including 64GB of storage. Midnight Black and Maple Gold are the only color variants available in India, so buyers will have to settle for one of them. Whichever they choose, if they placed a preorder, those living in India will soon receive their handset.
