Those who are eager to buy them can already pre-order the handsets on Apple’s online shop. he Cupertino- based company offer the handsets both in monthly payments with the iPhone Upgrade Program and with full payment. The iPhone 8’s price starts at $34.50 per month or $699 in full. The iPhone 8 Plus is, naturally, a little more expensive. Those who wish to buy it through the iPhone Upgrade Program will need to pay at least $39.50 a month or $799 in full.
Customers can opt for buying the handsets from four carriers, AT& T, Sprint, T- Mobile and Verizon, or they can opt for the SIM- free version of the smartphone. They can activate the latter with any carrier later on. Depending on the carrier and the storage option, users can get their handsets as soon as September 22. The 256GB storage version of the iPhone 8 from T- Mobile will ship within 3-4 weeks. The iPhone 8 Plus also ships starting September 22 for AT& T and Sprint users, however, T-Mobile will start shipping the 64GB version of the handset a little later, sometime within the next two weeks.
Both the iPhone 8 and the 8 Plus are available for pre- order in silver, gold, and space gray color options. In the box, customers will find the handset, a pair of EarPods with Lightning Connector, a Lightning to USB cable, a 5W USB Power Adapter, and a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter. Those who wish to enjoy the wireless charging capabilities of their new iPhones will need to buy the wireless chargers from third- party suppliers for now. Sometime next year Apple will release the Air Pod that will allow users to charge their wireless devices, however, until then the company doesn’t offer wireless charging accessories.
Pre- orders for the third model, the iPhone X will start October 27. The handset will become available in silver and black color options for $999 for the 64GB version and $1,149 for the 256GB version.
