There are only a few hours left until the launch of the new generation iPhones and we still don’t know for sure what their names will be. Until recently, everyone thought that Apple will unveil the flagship iPhone 8 at the September 12 event alongside the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. Now, it seems more likely that we will get to see the iPhone X, as Apple’s flagship smartphone and the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus as the successors to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. We might not know for sure what the exact monikers of the upcoming handsets will be but we do know one thing: the flagship iPhone will mark the beginning of a new era for Apple.
Not much has changed in the past ten years in terms of design. The screens may have gotten a little larger and the bezels a little thinner, but Apple fans can easily recognize an iPhone when they see one. This will change with the appearance of the iPhone X. The upcoming Apple flagship gives up on the traditional home button and goes for a full-screen design instead. The new handset will sport a large screen with almost no bezels on the sides and really slim ones on the top and bottom of the smartphone.
Naturally, the iPhone X will be the most powerful and most modern out of the three upcoming devices. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be quite similar to last year’s models, however, they will get a newer and faster processor and will run iOS 11 out of the box. Also, both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus will support wireless charging. Other than this, the changes will be minor. When it comes to the iPhone X, things totally change. The upcoming flagship will not only have a brand new design, it will also come with some new features, including facial recognition. Just like the other models, it will rock the newest processor Apple has to offer and its latest software.
The iPhone X will, without a doubt, be one of the most impressive iPhones to launch. The first one was pretty impressive for its time, and the upcoming Apple flagship will most likely be the same. Unfortunately, there is one downside to the smartphone and this is its price tag. Even the most optimistic rumors suggest a $900 price for the flagship. The more pessimistic ones take the price as high as $1,100. Hopefully, it won’t get as high. In a few hours, we will find out all there is to know about the handsets, including their price and availability. What do you think the fair price for the iPhone X would be?
