Alongside the new iPhones, Apple also introduced the newest iteration of the Apple Watch 3. The “number one watch in the world” may not have changed a lot in its appearance but it promises to bring a completely redesigned app and new features for swimmers and other sports lovers. The heart rate is now visible on the Apple Watch’s watch face all the time so users can more easily monitor it. Also, the Apple Watch 3 can now notify you when it detects an elevated heart rate or users don’t appear to be active. The Watch will now also monitor the heart’s rhythm, not only the heart beats. Thanks to this feature, diagnosing different heart diseases and conditions will be easier.
One of the most important changes the Apple Watch 3 brings along is the built in cellular connectivity. Users can now leave their iPhone behind when they go for a walk, for groceries or whenever they just don’t feel like taking their smartphone with them. Although Apple added cellular to the Apple Watch 3, it didn’t get any larger than its predecessor. The Watch 3 is the same size as the Watch 2 was. The smartwatch even allows users to stream music from their wrist via Apple Music. Siri is also present on the Watch, enabling users to benefit from all the help it can offer. Siri even talks on the Apple Watch, it won’t only display the answer to a question.
The Apple Watch 3 will become available in several colors and with a great number of new bands. Naturally, the price of the gadget will be influenced both by the band and the watch case customers opt for. The Apple Watch 3 comes with Watch OS4. The software will become available on September 19 to all Apple Watch users. Apple Watch 3 orders will begin September 15 and the gadget will start shipping on September 22. Prices start at $329 for the model without cellular and go up to $399 for the model with built- in cellular connectivity. At launch, the smartwatch will become available in 26 countries.
