The Xiaomi Mi Mix was without a doubt an impressive smartphone. Even though it was hard to imagine that the Chinese company will be able to deliver something even more amazing, they did it. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is more beautiful, more powerful and overall better than its predecessor was. It is fresh out of the oven and it will most likely have a lot of fans soon. The new smartphone is not as affordable as other Xiaomi handsets, however, given its high-end specs, it has a decent price tag. Customers can purchase it for around $510.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 first amazes us with its ceramic body. This is a feature that instantly makes this device look and feel premium. the majority of smartphones nowadays are a combination of metal and glass. The budget- friendly smartphones still come with plastic bodies, so the ceramic body of the Mi Mix 2 is indeed a nice change. Just like its predecessor, the Mi Mix 2 has almost no bezels on three sides and a thicker one on the bottom. Thanks to this feature, Xiaomi managed to squeeze a 5.99-inch display into a body you can still fit in your pocket. Even though the screen is quite large, the size of the smartphone remains almost normal.
The 5.99-inch display of the smartphone offers an amazing 2,160 x 1,080 resolution with an 18:9 aspect ratio, similar to the one we’ve seen in the LG G6 and the Samsugn Galaxy S8. Basically, it is a tall and narrow handset you can still easily hold in one hand. The ceramic back of the handset is only interrupted by the camera and the fingerprint sensor. There are no visible antenna lines on the back of the handset, and we have to admit, this makes it look a lot more premium than it would with these lines.
As for the power, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 doesn’t disappoint in this section either. The smartphone comes with a powerful octa- core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and it includes 6GB of RAM. Users can choose between 64GB, 128GB or 256GB storage options. Unfortunately, the smartphone doesn’t feature a microSD card slot so customers should really choose carefully as what they see is what they get in this section. Naturally, the Xiaomi device runs Android Nougat out of the box. It will probably get the Oreo update too at some point. A 3,400mAh battery makes sure to take users through the day on a single charge. just like any other flagship, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 supports fast battery charging.
Surprisingly, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes with a single primary camera. Instead of opting for a dual camera setup, Xiaomi went for the 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor the Xiaomi Mi 6 ships with. On the front, there is a 5MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Of course, the Xiaomi Mi Mix features a USB Type- C port and it offers Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. There is also a special edition that comes with a full ceramic unibody instead of the metal and ceramic combintaion of the base model. The smartphone will become available in China, Hong Kong, and in Taiwan. Unfortunately, Xiaomi won’t launch the Mi Mix 2 in the United States.
