No one can deny that Apple is on the short list of the most popular smartphone manufacturers in the world. It wouldn’t have gotten on this list if it didn’t deliver great quality handsets. After all, iPhones are not really affordable devices, so people would not buy them if they weren’t offering a great user experience. Even so, the Apple iPhones aren’t perfect either. Just like any other gadgets, they have their problems. Thankfully, they also have their afferent fixes. The iPhone 7 is currently one of the most popular handsets in the world. Its successor will reach the market soon, but even so, people still decide to buy the iPhone 7 and its larger sibling the 7 Plus. Unfortunately, they too have some issues, according to users.
When they first appeared, iPhone 7 devices seemed to struggle with iCloud Restore and Activation issues. Thankfully, the majority of these problems went away with the software updates that came after the launch of the handsets. Even so, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus users still report having some problems with the handsets. Most of them are related to the battery, the WiFi and the Bluetooth connectivity of the devices. Here you can find some of the possible solutions for these problems.
The good news is that some problems users might encounter when using the iPhone 7 can go away without them needing to do anything. As strange as it may seem, the device needs to be in use for a couple of days in order to perform the best way it can. Battery life, for instance, can be horrible in the first few days of use and settle afterwards on its own. New iOS updates can also interfere with the battery life of the handset. In their case, users can also give the handset a few days to settle before taking drastic measures to improve its battery life in case it became worse than usual.
If leaving the handset along doesn’t solve the problem, users can try to downgrade back to an older version of the software their devices are running. In some cases, even though usually it’s better to install the latest updates, downgrading can actually solve the issue. At least until the next update comes along. Unfortunately, updating the software is usually easier to do than downgrading. Sometimes, users will find themselves in the situation where they simply can’t go back to the previous version of the software as Apple no longer signs off on it. In this case, waiting for the next update is the answer to the problem.
Of course, turning off all the unnecessary apps and features will help users save a serious amount of energy over the day. Turning off Locations, WiFi, Bluetooth, turning the brightness of the screen lower all add something to the iPhone 7’s battery life. Making sure that unnecessary apps don’t run in the background also helps to save battery life. Naturally, it is also crucial to use the original charger the device came with. This offers the optimal charging, ensuring a better battery life than other chargers would.
As for the problems concerning the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, these can only be solved by a software update. Normally, both Wi Fi and Bluetooth work perfectly on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices. In case they don’t work well on your device even after updating the software, you should take your handset back to Apple and demand a replacement. Some users reported that when they turn off WiFi, the 3G connection stops as well. In this case, they aren’t able to make calls, send texts, or iMessages. As it seems, this problem only occurred after installing the iOS 10.3.3 update. If you didn’t install it yet, maybe you should consider holding on until the next version comes around. The latest update also seems to cause problems with the Bluetooth connection. Some users reported that ever since they installed the update, their Bluetooth devices don’t work well anymore.
If you already installed the software update and can’t downgrade anymore, you will have to wait for the next software version to solve this issue. Soon Apple will release the iOS 11, that should normally do the trick. Of course, a few more weeks will pass before the new software version will reach all the iPhones. Even so, the iPhone 7 should be one of the first devices to get the update. After all, it is the current flagship. Of course, besides all these, you can always try to factory reset your handset. It won’t always solve the problem, but in some cases, it will.
