This year was like a rollercoaster when it comes to rumors regarding the upcoming Apple handsets. First, reports stated that there will be three new handsets. Then, they said that the iPhone 8 will only arrive in 2018, and this year we will have to settle for the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. Now, it seems that the initial plans are back on track and Apple will launch all three models at the same event. The probable launch date of the handsets is set for September. Before the end of that month, the new models should hit the stores. All three of them. While it seems that there won’t be any problems with the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus, there will probably be a shortage of iPhone 8 devices in the beginning.
According to the latest reports, Apple will only be able to ship 2-4 million units by the end of September. Even though this might not seem to be a small number, considering the number of iPhone fans, it definitely won’t cover the necessities. If we are to believe the reports, this problem will persist until the beginning of next year. Then, the Cupertino- based company will start manufacturing enough iPhone 8 units for everyone. It will be quite an expensive handset, even so, we expect it to sell like hotcakes.
All three models will come in three color variants: black, silver, and gold. We might see other colors coming in limited editions later on, but these will be the base options. The iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus will most likely be slightly improved versions of the current Apple smartphones. The iPhone 8, on the other hand, promises to come with a great number of new features. It will also have a totally new design. Naturally, this will be the most expensive model too.
