Lenovo will reportedly launch a Motorola Moto X series handset this year. The Motorola Moto X4 is already in the works and it seems it will launch towards the end of the year. Just in time for the holidays probably. If rumors prove to be true, the Moto X4 is a mid- ranger worth waiting for that could turn into the perfect Christmas present for a special loved one. It will most likely have an affordable price and some really nice specs and features to offer.
At this point, we know that the Motorola Moto X4 will probably sport a full metal body. Besides making it more durable, the choice of materials also ensures a premium feel to the handset. After all, the majority of people prefer having a metallic smartphone rather than a plastic one. In terms of design, there probably won’t be anything really new. All the Motorola smartphones look similar to each other and the Motorola Moto X4 probably won’t be the exception from the rule. The handset will most likely feature the same rounded corners and thin body as its siblings do. One great thing about the upcoming model is that it will reportedly be water resistant. This is really important for the majority of smartphone users.
It’snot yet clear whether the Motorola Moto X4 will feature a 5.5-inch or a smaller, 5.2-inch display. Some reports suggest the former while others say the smaller screen is a more probable feature. Either way, the display of the Moto X4 will have a 1080p resolution. of course, depending on the size of the screen the pixel density can be higher or lower. Then again, the difference between a 5.5-inch and a 5.2-inch display is not that easily noticeable, so either one would make a great option. The fullHD resolution will definitely ensure a great visual experience.
The handset will probably run on Android Nougat out of the box. However, if Lenovo will make an effort and the Motorola Moto X4 will launch later in the fall or in the winter, there is also a possibility that it will come running on Android 8 instead. However, being a mid- ranger chances of this happening are quite slim. Still, they are not inexistent. As for the processor, rumor has it that it will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. While this is truly a good and powerful processor, it’s rather surprising that Lenovo didn’t opt for the newer Snapdragon 630 instead. Then again, there still are months to go until the launch of the handset and this rumor could prove to be inaccurate. Ther is a high chance that the Moto X4 will be available in two different variants. one of them will probably include 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage while the other will offer 4 GB of memory and 64 GB of storage.
Things get more interesting when we get to the camera section. As the majority of smartphones to launch this year, the Motorola Moto X4 will most likely sport a dual camera on the back. A 12 MP dual camera would make sense, as other 2017 Moto models also offer the same snappers. Naturally, there will also be a front- facing camera, this time with its own flashlight, which will probably have a 5MP or an 8MP sensor. While these aren’t the best smartphone cameras available right now, they sure are suitable for a mid- range handset. The smartphone will most likely feature a front- mounted fingerprint sensor and it will probably cost somewhere between $300 and $450. We hope the price will be closer to $300.
