Yes, Opera still exists, and it keeps fighting for its place in the browser world. It does this by adding new and interesting features. Over the past few years, we’ve seen Opera adding free VPN and native ad-blocking to its features. Now, users will have all their social messengers in one place. The new browser, codenamed Opera Reborn, integrates Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Telegram to its sidebar. This way, users are always only a click away from their friends and acquaintances. With this new feature, users will be able to chat and browse the web at the same time. Of course, this was possible in every other browser too, just not this seamlessly.
Opera Reborn users will be able to open their social messaging apps in two different ways. The first one is, obviously, the way we all do it. You log into the messaging app and have a distinct web page. The second way is the new one. Users can pin all their messaging apps to the sidebar of the browser. This way, they will be able to chat without needing to toggle between different web pages. They will see the messaging app and their current webpage side by side. Switching between different messengers will also be extremely easy.
The Opera Reborn browser doesn’t only come with the possibility to pin messaging apps to its sidebar. It also comes with a new interface, which will probably delight a lot of people. New color themes are on display and they look quite nice. We’re not quite convinced that these new features will be enough to significantly expand the user base of the Opera browser, but it’s nice to see that they don’t give up. The Opera Reborn will probably not become as popular as Google’s Chrome or Apple’s Safari, but it could win a few new followers thanks to the brand new, modern interface.
