The Amazon Echo was the first smart speaker to impress the world. Later on, Google Home launched, and now it seems the Siri Speaker will soon follow in its footstep. Apple’s smart speaker could be unveiled at the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference. The WWDC 2017 will take place between 5 and 9 June 2017 in San Jose, California. At this conference, alongside the Siri Speaker, we will probably see a new lineup of iPads, and other Apple products launch too. Being the third device of this kind, after Amazon’s Echo and Google’s Home, the Siri Speaker needs to be quite amazing to have a good start.
According to reports, Apple’s smart speaker will be more powerful than the Echo and the Google Home. It will not only have superior computing power to the Echo and the Google Home, its sound quality should also be more impressive. Naturally, it will also be more expensive than the aforementioned smart speakers. How much more expensive, we don’t know yet. Even though many people believe that Apple will unveil its speaker at the WWDC 2017 in June, it’s highly likely we will have to wait a few months longer for it to become available for purchase. The time between its launch event and its release date could be used by developers to deliver some cool apps for the speaker.
It’s quite surprising that Apple waited this long to launch a device of this kind. They launched Siri, the company’s AI assistant back in 2013. We expected this feature to reach a higher number of devices already. However, it might be worth waiting for it. If the Siri Speaker will actually be more powerful than the Amazon Echo and the Google Home, which are already quite impressive, it will be a great device. Whether it will become more popular than the previous smart speakers or not mainly depends on the price tag it will have.
