Apple is definitely not in a hurry when it comes to launching new devices. The Cupertino company takes its time to work on all details of its gadgets, which, unfortunately for us, means that they don’t launch as soon as we hope they would. A new iPad Pro is a device we would really like to see. And soon. According to the latest reports, there is a great chance that we will get this device in June. Apple will most likely unveil the iPad Pro 2 at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).
The 12.9-inch iPad pro 2 will not be the only new product. Apple is expected to release a number of other gadgets at the same event. These include a 10.5-inch and a 10-inch iPad, alongside the iPad Mini 5. The latter will sport a 9.7-inch display. If all these will actually launch in June, everyone will find something to their liking in the new lineup of iPads. All of the new gadgets will probably run on iOS 11. The iPad Pro 2 will hopefully be a truly amazing tablet. We expect the 12.9-inch gadget to be a little slimmer and lighter than the previous version. Also, it would be nice if it were waterproof.
As for its hardware, it will most likely come with an AX10 chipset and 4GB of RAM. Of course, it is possible that it will offer more memory. A larger battery would also be welcome, even though this would probably mean the iPad Pro 2 will have the same thick body, if not an even thicker one. Given the fact that Apple could ditch the 3.5mm audio jack on this device also, maybe they could use the space for a larger battery. Given the fact that the current iPad Pro has a 12MP rear camera, it’s safe to assume that the next generation iPad Pro 2 will have at least that.
If Apple will launch the iPad Pro 2 at the WWDC 2017, as we expect it to, we only have to wait a month or so until we lay eyes on the new gadget. The first iPad Pro was launched more than a year ago, so a new one is eagerly expected. Even if it launches in June, it’s safe to assume that the iPad Pro 2 will become available only later, possibly in July, or even in the fall.
