OnePlus 3 and 3T users could get a special gift from the Easter bunny. The OTA rollout of the OxygenOS 4.1.3 has begun, and it could reach them these days. The bad news is that it won’t bring all the changes OnePlus 3 and 3T users are waiting for. This version of the OxygenOS lacks the Pixel-like launcher and other new features that are already taken into consideration in the Open Beta 13 update for the OnePlus 3 and Open Beta 4 for the OnePlus 3T. It’s highly likely that these features will only arrive with the OxygenOS 4.2 update. When that will happen si still a mystery.
The OxygenOS 4.1.3 update for OnePlus 3 and 3T comes with a series of minor improvements. It offers an upgrade to Android 7.1.1 and it adds expanded screenshots. Besides this, it improves the way pictures of moving objects turn out with blur reduction, and it also enhances video stability when recording. WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity are now better also. The OxygenOS 4.1.3 update also addresses some bugs. Thanks to this update, the Instagram swiping bug, and the hardware buttons malfunction bug are now history. Unfortunately, the software update doesn’t offer the latest Android security patch. This will probably show up a little later.
OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users should remember that the update rolls out over the air, so not everyone will get it at the same time. Given the fact that it is a minor update, the OxygenOS 4.1.3 will not take up a lot of space. Users can easily download it once it becomes available for their handsets. OnePlus also announced that there still is a known Bluetooth logging issue on OPnePlus 3 and 3T devices. It is easy to fix, so users can easily get rid of it. They only need to delete the oem_log folder. They can do this by accessing File manager, then go to Storage, select oem_log and Delete. The problem should disappear after completing these steps.
