EA Sports wants you to try Madden NFL 24 this week as the NFL season begins. The megapublisher gave the game a free weekend less than a month after its release, a first. You can play the entire game for free without restrictions until September 10.
You might think the game isn’t selling well, but Redwood Shores denies that. A press release claims that the latest game set a new single-week franchise record for digital units sold at launch, which is a bit naive considering console downloadable purchases increase every year.
In other unrelated news, the Baltimore Ravens have topped the game’s most used teams list and newly signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. leads the touchdown catches list. In our Madden NFL 24 PS5 review, we called it another five-yard step for the franchise.
