Ascendant Studios delayed its PS5 first-person shooter Immortals of Aveum by a month. It will launch on 22 August 2023, a few days before Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, instead of 20 July 2023. The developer claims a four-week delay will allow the game to “realize our full vision” with more polish, optimization, and a “strong launch”.
“Immortals of Aveum is special,” said CEO Bret Robbins. We will launch on Tuesday, August 22nd, after a few weeks to complete our vision. We can polish the game, optimize all platforms, and launch well with this time. We must correct this for ourselves and you.”
Ascendant Studios, made up of former Call of Duty and Dead Space developers, released its first magic-based FPS under the EA Originals label, along with It Takes Two and Wild Hearts. Immortals of Aveum will compete with Baldur’s Gate 3 and Starfield a week later.
