After a few months and plenty of rumors, today it’s finally been confirmed that Hideo Kojima, the man behind the Metal Gear Solid series, is no longer a Konami employee. The successful game designer has also confirmed that he and Kojima Productions are teaming up with Sony to release a brand new PlayStation 4 game.
Among the projects related to Mr. Kojima that Konami cancelled is Silent Hills, a new entry of the survival horror series that Hideo Kojima was going to create in collaboration with Guillermo del Toro. Players all over the world have been able to get a taste of Silent Hills with the Playable Teaser but Konami took that away when Silent Hills was cancelled by removing it from the PlayStation Store. However it seems like there’s still a way to download P.T. and enjoy it on PlayStation 4.
A dedicated player has revealed on the Gamexeon forums that the Silent Hills P.T. can downloaded by accessing the PlayStation Store while using a proxy. Downloading the Playable Teaser this way may lead to some unforseen consequences so please keep this in mind before attempting to download P.T. again.
Silent Hills has been originally revealed back in 2014 following the release of the Playable Teaser, which was originally labeled as a demo for a horror game developed by a fictional studio. Completing the Playable Teaser revealed that the demo was actually a demo for a new Silent Hill game directed by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro. The game was eventually cancelled during March 2015 due to the conflicts between Konami and Hideo Kojima. While the Japanese company stated in the past that other Silent Hill games might be released in the future, nothing more has been said on the series.
Silent Hills was in development for PlayStation 4 but the project has been cancelled a few months ago. We will keep you updated on any other project related to the series as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news.
