Sony has revealed the next batch of free games that PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download in January 2016, and the selection this time is pretty good. The service once again offers 6 free games to download that span across Sony’s PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems.
Hardware: Rivals serves as January’s PlayStation Plus exclusive debut title, which has you getting behind the wheels of tanks or mobile attack jeeps in a vehicle combat game. The game was inspired by the PlayStation 2 game called Hardware: Online Arena, while also bringing an online multiplayer arena mode to challenge your friends or complete strangers.
Perhaps the biggest game of the lot this time is Double Fine Productions’ Grim Fandango Remastered. The game originally released earlier this year and brought back the cult classic adventure game with HD graphics while delivering the same hilarious gameplay that everyone remembered fondly. The game has you in the roll of a travel agent for the Department of Death as you guide souls to the afterlife.
Scroll down for a complete list of the free games you get in January 2016 through PlayStation Plus:
- Dragon Age: Origins, PS3
- Grim Fandango Remastered, PS4, PS Vita
- Hardware: Rivals, PS4

- Medal of Honor Warfighter, PS3

This also gives everyone fair warning to get this month’s batch of free games downloaded before they become unavailable. This month’s lineup includes Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon on PS3, Freedom Wars on PS Vita, Gauntlet: Slayer Edition on PS4, King’s Quest – Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember on PS4, Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken on PS Vita and SSX on PS3.
