The Ace Combat series is set to return soon, with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown set to launch in January of next year. The ESRB recently revealed their official rating for the game, which is T (for teen). This was accompanied by their rating description for the game, which is detailed in this post.
The following is the complete ESRB rating description for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown:
“This is a flight combat simulator in which players follow the story of a young prisoner, while reenacting a variety of combat missions. From a third-person perspective, players control planes as they engage in aerial dogfights, assault ground targets (e.g., anti-aircraft guns, oil fields, silos), and destroy enemy bases. Players use missiles, machine guns, and bombs to destroy targets in realistic, frenetic combat. Battles are highlighted by frequent gunfire explosions, radio chatter, and explosions. One cutscene briefly depicts a pilot with small amounts of blood splattered on her helmet after a crash. The word “sh*t” appears in the dialogue.”
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will launch on January 18th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, whereas the PC version will launch on February 1st. The game will retail for $59.99, and also features PS VR support.
